Workplace Investigations

Many employers will face the need to conduct a workplace investigation. These can be simple or highly complex.

For the most part the “day to day” investigations can be done by the manager or human resources. However, there are sometimes complex cases with serious allegations that could result in serious consequences.  These may include allegations of discrimination, harassment under Human Rights statutes, physical/verbal abuse by a manager against an employee (or another manager) and more.

If handled internally, there is a risk of allegations of bias, or at a minimum, a perception of bias or other alleged impropriety.  An unbiased, external investigation can protect employers against allegations of bias or other alleged improprieties.

With Wiggs Labour Relations, you can expect appropriate investigative techniques to establish facts and conclusions based on the proper application of facts and evidence.
